Microblading and micropigmentation are similar in that both are semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing techniques. In microblading, a hand tool with a blade shaped tip is used to cut ultra fine hair-like strokes into your skin. The ink then gets absorbed into the stroke. In micropigmentation, a digital machine is used to inject ink into the skin, similar to a standard tattoo machine. Both have excellent results and often depends on the skill and preference of the artists.
It depends. The length of time varies from person to person depending on your skin type. Usually eyebrows last about 1-2 years and lips about 3-4 years, after which a touchup may be necessary.
That's true, but it is uncommon. Skin types are all different and their pigment retention rate varies. Some skin rejects pigment and pushes it out quickly. In permanent makeup, there are no guarantees.
Everybody's skin is different and heals differently. Some people need a touchup after 6 weeks and some don't need it for years. There are a couple factors involved.
1) The ink is designed to be semi-permanent so it fades gradually over time.
2) Skin types are all different and react differently to the pigment. There is no way to tell how your skin will heal.
Some of the most common reasons to get a touchup are that the pigment has lightened over time, the skin has pushed the pigment out, and the pigment has lost its consistency.
If you have really oily skin and you did hair strokes, the hairs can spread and become less defined. You might want to consider shading instead.

No. Touch-ups are a separate fee. The price depends on the service.
Unfortunately, we cannot. How the skin will react is different for everyone and many factors are to be taken into consideration. Skin type, age, scarring, diet, stress levels, facial products used, all play a key role in how the pigment will hold, which is why it is important to know that more than one touch up may be required. We can guarantee that your face is important to us and that we will act in accordance with our experience and expertise to give you our absolute best. We can guarantee that we will strive to make you satisfied and content every time, but there are no guarantees in this industry. Please think long and hard before you decide to go for it.

Yes, usually we can. We can put pigment over the scar, but not if it is too new. It needs to be an older scare and the pigment won't hide the scar.

5) Draw the design on the client’s eyebrows.
6) Get the client’s approval for the design.

Yes. We use a numbing cream. We will apply the numbing cream then you must wait about 30 minutes before the procedure.
We have base colors that can be blended to match any color expectations. We highly recommend that you bring in any brow makeup/pencils you use so that we can more easily match your preferred color. As professional artists, we will assist you in choosing a permanent makeup color that will work best for your skin and expectations.
Our students are supervised by our instructors and they pencil draw the agreed upon design for you to approve so it is rare that there is a mess up. We do our best to get it right the first time.
Yes. Wearing your makeup helps us to see the look you like, including color and shape. We clean the brow area (or lips) before the procedure.

A typical eyebrow makeover lasts about 1.5 hours.
No. There is no downtown associated with the treatment. Redness will disappear in a couple days. Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that it will affect your daily living.
We recommend avoiding the sun/beach for a few days before your appointment. We will get better results if you don't come with burned skin.
The brows slowly heal over a period of 6-8 weeks.
Be prepared for the initial color intensity of your procedure to be significantly sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. So your brows will typically become lighter and softer over time. It will take time for this transition based upon how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates.
For the first couple weeks, wash your eyebrows twice a day. Use a mild cleanser on and around the procedure area. DO NOT use any cleansers containing anti-aging/anti acne agents (IE retinal, glycolic, lactic, or AHA). Dial soap or Cetaphil are good choices. Foam up a tiny amount of soap in your hands, then use the foam to gently cleanse your eyebrows. Rinse well. Gently blot dry with clean paper towel. Make sure moisture blotted off before applying your healing cream. Never put ointment on a tattoo. Do not let your brows dry out. Also, apply a light coat of healing cream 2-3 after washing. Although it is important to use the cream, using it excessively can discourage the skin of air and can result in pigment loss during the healing period; so, use, but use it sparingly, just enough to moisten the brows.
After the procedure, you want to make sure your brows stay clean so they don't get infected. Wash the brows twice a day for a couple weeks after the procedure. Apply the healing cream, after washing.
For the first few days, do not take hot showers and keep bathroom doors opened as to Not cause a steam effect Keep your face out of the water. At the very end of your shower, wash your hair and rinse away from your face Do not let the shower hit you directly in the face.
Immediately after the procedure, your brows will be a little reddish and irritated. Most likely you will experience a little itchiness. This will typically last for 1-3 days. It is part of the healing process.
Yes. This is one of the most asked questions. Don't worry. As part of the normal healing process, some of your brows outer layer will shed off during the first week. The pigment under the skin will then begin to set.
Some tenderness, puffiness, redness, and slight itching is quite normal for the permanent make up healing process. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area as this could result in your color healing uneven, as well as the risk of scarring and infection.
Absolutely NO topical make up on the healing procedure for few days or until flaking has ended. The length of time to go without makeup depends on how quickly your skin heals. It could be 3-10 days. Topical make up may have bacteria and your new procedure need adequate time to heal. Use your own judgement on when the skin has healed enough.
Many clients do not need a touchup, but if you do need a touchup they should be done after 6 weeks. The skin needs time to heal properly and for the color and shape to set properly. Also, semi-permanent makeup fades slowly over time. Many clients will return for a touchup after 1-3 years.
Yes, touchups are not included in the original procedure. Contact us for pricing.
We recommend staying out of the sun/beach for at least a week after your procedure. The sun and salt can have an adverse effect on the color and consistency of the tattoo.
Probably not. You just might have slightly red skin around the eyebrows for a few hours.
Although permanent makeup does allow for some flexibility and correction, it can be difficult to make corrections after the procedure. Since big corrections are not easy to make afterwards, it is better to get it right the first time around. For this reason, we use design techniques that are centered around client input and approval. First, we listen carefully to the client about their expectations. Second, we draw the design on the clients eyebrows using erasable colored pencils to show the client as accurately as possible what the finished product will look like. The drawing is customized based on the client's input, skin type and color, unique facial features, and bone structure. Third, we only do the procedure once the client approves the design. If you are not 100% sure you would benefit from this procedure, please choose a more temporary option.
Definitely avoid swimming for the first week. Two weeks if possible. The salt and/or chemicals in the water are counterproductive to the healing process.
